Do I get charged extra for transferring between subway lines, or only between bus and subway?

Subway-to-subway transfers inside the gates are free — it's one fare per trip, with a small distance add-on after 10km. Bus↔subway transfers are also free (up to 4 per trip) if you tag your card again within 30 minutes of getting off (60 min late at night). Just always tag out, and use a T-money card — cash doesn't get transfer discounts.
