A steep but paved 20-minute walk brings you to the rim of this western oreum, where a shallow rain-fed lake sits inside the crater after wet spells. Paragliders launch from the ridge on fair afternoons, and the rim has an open line of sight to the west coast, which makes it one of the better sunset perches in this part of Jeju. The short climb pays back far more than the effort suggests.

Local context

Korean visitors know it from TV shows and music videos, so late afternoons draw domestic photo crowds — mornings are quieter, and the crater pond only holds water after recent rain, so check the weather before counting on the mirror shot.
