Hallim Daily Market 한림매일시장

Jeju, Seoul · 33.4166, 126.2639

An arcaded alley market in the middle of Hallim town that has run for over 70 years and still serves residents rather than tour groups. Stalls carry fish landed that morning at the adjacent Hallim port, seasonal produce, and homemade banchan side dishes, with a handful of no-frills eateries mixed in. It stays open into the evening and sits about five minutes from Hyeopjae Beach.

Local context

Hallim's fishing fleet lands its catch next door, so the fish here is the same-day kind locals queue for; every five days the separate Hallim folk market sets up nearby and doubles the bustle.
