A Pohang-style seafood spot in a Seocho food alley, best known for gwamegi — half-dried herring, a prized winter delicacy from Korea's east coast. A seasonal, regional taste even many Koreans travel for, and almost no foreign visitor knows.

Local context

Gwamegi is a winter thing (roughly Nov–Feb); locals wrap it in seaweed with fresh vegetables. Off-season, the Pohang seafood dishes carry the menu.

Etiquette

Wrap the gwamegi in gim (seaweed) with raw garlic, chili and the seasoned scallions — one bite. It's an oily-savory acquired taste locals adore.
