Yeongnangho Loop Trail & Beombawi Rock 영랑호 둘레길·범바위

Sokcho, Seoul · 38.2147, 128.5759

A flat 7.8km loop around a coastal lagoon on Sokcho's north side, where the granite wall of Ulsanbawi reflects on the water on clear days. Climb the tiger-shaped Beombawi outcrop partway around for a free panorama over the lake toward Seoraksan, and cross the 400m floating walkway that cuts straight over the water, lit until late evening. Bikes can be rented near the lake, and the whole loop makes an unhurried half day that most visitors skip entirely on their way to the beach.

Local context

This is the daily walking course for Sokcho residents rather than a sight — mornings bring exercise groups, and locals time the floating bridge for sunset when Ulsanbawi turns pink over the water.
