NadeCheongdaesan 청대산
A 230-meter neighborhood hill on the south side of Sokcho with soft pine-needle trails that reach the summit deck in about forty minutes. The payoff is a 360-degree sweep that puts Seoraksan's full ridgeline, Cheongchoho Lagoon, the city, and the open East Sea in a single turn of the head — a view many visitors pay for at the cable car. Trailheads sit in the residential streets of Joyang-dong, so sneakers are enough and you can be back at a cafe within two hours.

This is where Sokcho residents take their daily exercise, so expect retirees with hiking poles at sunrise and almost no one at midday; it barely registers on tourist maps or most hiking apps. Locals rate the Seoraksan panorama from the top as one of the best free views in the city.
