Jeju's oldest and largest market, founded in 1945, where daytime arcades sell hairtail, mackerel, hallabong citrus, and dried seafood by the crate. In the evening a night market takes over the stretch between gates 8 and 10, with vendors searing black-pork skewers and abalone over open flames. The two shifts feel like different markets sharing one roof.

Local context

Islanders do their real shopping in the morning and leave the evening to visitors; if you want fish and fruit at local pace, go before noon, then return after dark for the food stalls.
