NadeKim Man-deok Memorial Hall 김만덕기념관
A harbor-side museum devoted to Kim Man-deok (1739–1812), a woman who rose from gisaeng registers to build a shipping fortune, then spent it on mainland rice to feed Jeju through the famine of 1795. Exhibits walk through her trading life and the royal recognition she received at a time when island women were forbidden to leave Jeju. It sits by the Sanjicheon stream, a short walk from the old downtown grid.

Jeju people grew up on Man-deok's story the way others grow up on folk tales; pairing the museum with a walk along the restored Sanjicheon stream makes a natural old-town half day.
