From the Amgok valley parking lot, a streamside track climbs gently past a ruined Silla temple site to the broad summit plateau of 624-meter Mujangbong, a former ranch that has gone back to grass. From mid-October to early November the whole top turns into waist-high silver eulalia rippling in the wind; the round trip takes three to four hours on easy grades.

Local context

The grass peaks in the second half of October, when the small Amgok lot fills by mid-morning on weekends; the summit is exposed, so locals carry a windproof layer even when the valley feels warm.
