NadeTomb of King Jinpyeong 진평왕릉

A single grass-covered royal mound stands alone in the rice paddies of the Bomun plain, with no fence, no ticket booth, and only a ring of old trees around it. King Jinpyeong ruled Silla for more than fifty years, yet his tomb now belongs to evening walkers and cyclists passing on the field paths. It is at its best near dusk, when the paddies catch the last light.
Local context
Art historian Yu Hong-jun named this one of the three things you should see in Gyeongju, but tour buses cannot park here, so it stays empty; locals fold it into a slow bike loop across the Bomun plain.
