Seongjigok Reservoir 성지곡수원지

Hidden in the forested upper reaches of Busan Children's Grand Park, Seongjigok holds Korea's first concrete gravity dam, completed in 1909 and now a registered cultural heritage site. A gentle loop trail circles the reservoir through tens of thousands of cypress and cedar trees, and the whole area is free to enter year-round. The walk pairs a piece of early modern engineering with some of the best forest air inside the city.
Local context
Most park visitors stop at the playgrounds and never continue up to the reservoir, so the loop above the dam stays quiet even on weekends. Locals come early in the morning for the cypress-scented air; from Seomyeon it is a single bus ride.
