A pocket of seawater trapped inside a ring of basalt boulders on the Bomok coast, nicknamed 'little Cheonji' after the crater lake on Baekdusan. On windless, clear days the pool turns into a mirror holding an upside-down Hallasan, which is what photographers quietly hike in for.

Local context

Signage is nearly nonexistent — follow Olle Route 6 east of Bomok Port and watch for a small path dropping through the pines. Come in the morning before the sea breeze ruffles the surface, and check that Hallasan's summit is cloud-free before you bother.
