The ARC (Gangjeong Weir) 디아크 (강정보)

Daegu, Seoul · 35.8393, 128.4674

A sweeping, ship-like culture pavilion by architect Hani Rashid, standing where the Nakdong and Geumho rivers meet beside Gangjeong Weir. Arrive an hour before sunset to walk or cycle the riverside paths, then stay as the building's color-shifting lights come on and reflect across the water — the night scene is the main event. It sits near the far end of Daegu Metro Line 2 (Daesil Station, then a short walk or bus), so treat it as a half-evening trip out of the city center.

Local context

The lawn in front fills with local families and couples on summer evenings; the exhibition hall inside keeps limited hours and closes Mondays, but almost everyone comes for the exterior and the riverside, which are open all the time.
