Ungcheon Cafe Street 웅천 카페거리

Yeosu, Seoul · 34.7473, 127.6680

A row of waterfront cafes in Yeosu's new-town district, facing a calm inlet and a small artificial beach where locals walk their dogs at sunset. Pick a window seat in the late afternoon, then cross the tidal footbridge to Jangdo, a tiny art island with galleries and sculpture paths, before the water covers the walkway again. It sits on the opposite side of the city from the tourist circuit of Dolsan and Odongdo, which is exactly why the crowd here is almost entirely local.

Local context

This is where Yeosu families actually spend their weekend cafe hours, not where tour buses stop. Check the tide times posted at the Jangdo bridge — the crossing closes at high tide, and locals plan their coffee around it.
