Bosu-dong Book Alley 보수동 책방골목
Photos: Wikimedia Commons / community
Dozens of secondhand bookshops line this sloping lane, grown out of the used-book stalls that Korean War refugees set up in the 1950s. Shelves climb to the ceilings and stock spills into the alley — mostly Korean titles, with old magazines, art books, and the occasional English paperback for patient diggers.
Local context
Shopkeepers will track down a title for you if you ask, and a book-alley culture festival takes over the lane each autumn; a few shops now double as cafes for browsing.
