A free museum of Busan's modern era housed in a 1929 bank building that passed from the Japanese colonial Oriental Development Company to the postwar American Cultural Center before citizens campaigned for its return. The old basement vault now hosts rotating art exhibitions, and the Bosu-dong book alley is a short walk away.

Entry is free and it closes on Mondays; for many locals the building's own layered history — colonial extraction office to American outpost to public museum — is the main exhibit.
