Dongho Beach 동호해변

Yangyang, Seoul · 38.0586, 128.6832

A long, straight run of pale sand backed by a pine belt where, on most of this coast, resorts and cafes would already stand — here there is almost nothing but the trees. Even in August you will find only scattered parasols and a modest village-run swimming season, and outside July and August the beach is often entirely empty. It suits long walks and unhurried swimming rather than any organized activity, which is exactly the point.

Local context

Facilities are minimal outside the short summer season, so bring water and shade; Yangyang residents come here precisely to avoid the surf crowds at Ingu and Jukdo.
