Jangsan Mountain 장산
Photos: Wikimedia Commons / community
A 634-meter mountain rising directly behind Haeundae's apartment blocks, with trailheads a short walk from Jangsan subway station. The round trip takes two to three hours past streams and boulder fields, and the summit ridge opens onto a wide free view over Haeundae Beach, the Marine City towers, and Gwangan Bridge. Almost everyone on the trail is a Busan resident out for a regular hike, which makes the climb itself a slice of local life.
Local context
Parts of the upper slopes were once a military zone and old landmine warning signs remain — locals stay strictly on the marked main trails, and visitors should do the same.
