This forested volcanic cape at Yeongdo's southern tip drops nearly a hundred meters into the sea, with a loop road linking a lighthouse, cliff observation decks, and pebble shores; the Danubi tram shuttles visitors who would rather not walk the roughly 4-kilometer circuit. From the observatory on clear days the view stretches to Japan's Tsushima Island, while small cruise boats trace the rock walls from below.
Local context
Locals treat the tram as optional: walking the loop lets you drop down to Gamji beach's pebble shore and its row of shellfish tents, which tram riders roll straight past.
