A dense stand of towering bamboo and old-growth groves in inland Gijang, kept by a single family clan for some four hundred years, with dirt paths threading between the stalks. Paid admission keeps foot traffic light, and scenes from Korean films such as The Handmaiden were shot among this bamboo.

Busan residents come here instead of making the long trip to Damyang's bamboo groves; on a weekday morning you can have whole stretches of the path to yourself.
