Dareumsan Mountain 달음산
A short, steep half-day hike to a jagged summit crag said to resemble an eagle's head, with the East Sea spread out below and the whole Gijang coastline in view. It ranks first among Gijang's eight scenic views, yet the trail signs and hiking information exist almost entirely in Korean.
Local context
Locals climb it for New Year sunrise because the summit catches first light over the sea; the common route starts near Okjeongsa Temple in Won-ri and takes roughly two hours to the top.
