Jeonchon Yonggul Sea Caves 전촌용굴

Gyeongju, Seoul · 35.7915, 129.4960

From sleepy Jeonchon harbor, a fifteen-minute boardwalk rounds a dark rock headland to two sea caves — Saryonggul and Danyonggul, named in local legend for the dragons that guarded this coast. Each cave cuts clean through the rock, so standing inside frames a bright oval of open East Sea while waves surge across the shelf below.

Local context

Check the swell before climbing down — on calm days you can step onto the rock floor inside for the framed-ocean shot, and the east-facing openings catch direct light in the morning.
