Malmi Oreum 말미오름
Also known as Dusanbong, this grassy cone is the first climb on Olle Route 1 out of Siheung-ri. Cattle graze the slopes, and from the rim you look down on a quilt of fields divided by black stone walls, with Udo island and Seongsan Ilchulbong layered on the horizon. Plan on about an hour to go up and around.
Local context
Almost everyone who sees this view earns it by starting Olle Route 1 at Siheung Elementary School; the trail continues over neighboring Al Oreum before dropping to the coast.
