Wolmi Park & Wolmi Observatory 월미공원·월미전망대

Incheon, Seoul · 37.4695, 126.6053

A forested hill rising directly behind Wolmido's noisy amusement strip, topped by a free observatory that looks out over the working port, Incheon Bridge, and the old open-port district. Walk up through the recreated traditional Korean garden on the lower slopes, then take in the panorama where container cranes, ferries, and the city share one frame. The trailhead is a few minutes' walk from the Wolmido waterfront, so you can pair the climb with the boardwalk below.

Local context

Most visitors to Wolmido never leave the seafront rides and clam-grill restaurants, which keeps the hill quiet even on busy weekends; the hill was a restricted military zone for about fifty years, which is why the forest survived intact in the middle of a port city.
