Cafe Pot-R (Pat-al) 카페 팟알

Incheon, Seoul · 37.4739, 126.6206

A cafe inside a 100-year-old wooden building that once housed a Japanese port-agency office, now protected as Registered Cultural Heritage No. 567. Order the red-bean patbingsu or Nagasaki-style castella and take them upstairs, where the timber rooms let you sit inside open-port-era architecture rather than just look at it. It hides in a back alley of the open-port district a few minutes from Chinatown, which is exactly why tour groups walk past it.

Local context

Regulars know to head to the tatami-floored upper floors, which most first-timers miss. The patbingsu is the order here — locals treat it as the definitive version in the old downtown.
