NadeHwaryeongjeon Shrine 화령전
A royal portrait shrine built in 1801 to house the painted likeness of King Jeongjo, standing directly beside Hwaseong Haenggung Palace; its main hall, Unhangak, is designated a National Treasure. Step in after touring the palace to see how Joseon Korea enshrined and honored a dead king's portrait — the courtyard is usually near-silent even when tour groups pack the palace next door. It shares a wall with the palace grounds, so adding it costs you five extra minutes and almost no walking.
