National Agricultural Museum of Korea 국립농업박물관
A sleek national museum opened in 2022 on the grounds of Korea's first agricultural research station, telling the story of Korean farming from rice paddies to vertical smart farms. The hands-on halls and working indoor farm make it an easy, well-signed visit, and admission is free; it closes on Mondays. It sits within walking distance of Seoho Lake and its reservoir Chukmanje, so you can fold it into a lakeside stroll on Suwon's quieter western side.
Local context
The reservoir next door, Chukmanje, was built by King Jeongjo in 1799 as part of his agricultural experiment around the fortress city — a storyline the museum completes and almost no foreign visitor ever hears.
