NadeSudoguksan Museum of Housing and Living 수도국산달동네박물관
A district museum that rebuilds a 1960s–70s hillside shantytown at full scale, so you walk through cramped kitchens, a briquette shop, a shared water tap and a barbershop rather than looking at them behind glass. Reopened in March 2026 after a multi-year expansion, it now spreads over four floors and traces ordinary Incheon lives from the port-opening era through the industrial boom. It sits on a hill about 15 minutes on foot from Dongincheon Station, pairing naturally with the sundae and naengmyeon alleys in the streets below.
Local context
Koreans bring their parents here for the nostalgia; the recreated alley is modeled on this exact neighborhood as it looked in 1971, and older visitors often narrate the rooms from memory. Admission is around a thousand won, and it closes Mondays like most municipal museums.
