Mansongjeong Pine Forest 만송정 숲
A crescent of pines planted along Hahoe's sandy riverbank in the Joseon era to soften the harsh presence of Buyongdae cliff across the water — landscape feng shui you can walk through. The grove and its white-sand bank are protected as a Natural Monument, and late-afternoon light slanting through the trunks catches the village at its calmest. Most day-trippers never leave the house lanes, so the bank stays quiet even in high season.
Local context
On select autumn nights the Seonyu Julbul fire festival strings burning ropes from Buyongdae over the river right here, and locals book village stays months ahead for it; on ordinary evenings this sandbank is where overnight guests gather to watch the cliff turn orange.
